Charter Oak Cultural Center presents An Ada Maria Isasi-Diaz Justice Institute Event FAVIANNA RODRIGUEZ on SACRED IMAGINATION: Art and the Spirit of Social Change
Recorded: Thursday, December 11 at 6:30pm
This talk explores the deep connections between art, spirituality, and social transformation through the creative practices of Latinx women. Artist–activist Favianna Rodriguez shares how art and expression become vessels for ancestral memory, healing, and collective imagination, often reaching places that politics alone cannot. Through vivid examples of her artworks about racial justice, climate justice, migrant rights, and gender liberation, she illuminates how art has always been central to movements for change. Centering Latinx women’s voices, the talk invites participants to reflect on how creativity can open pathways toward justice, belonging, and spiritual resilience.
